To make velvet leather, the outer layer of calfskin is used. The leather is then sanded from the outside to give it the final velvet finish. Velvet is often more highly valued than suede or nubuck because the outer layer of calfskin is more durable than the inner layer used for suede, and therefore, logically, stronger and more long-lasting.
At first glance, velvet and suede or nubuck look similar, but in reality they are created and treated differently.Sizes: 18mm | 20mm | 22mm
